1. Acceptance & Permitted Use
By accessing or using RepoBox (including our Repo2Txt, Web2Txt, and File2Txt tools), you agree to be bound by these Terms. You agree to use the service only for lawful software development, documentation preparation, and code analysis. You represent that you have the requisite permissions and rights to process any repositories or documents you input.
2. 100% Code Ownership & Zero Intellectual Property Claims
You own everything you process. RepoBox does not claim any copyright, intellectual property rights, or licensing over any source code, documentation, files, or AI prompts generated using our platform. Because all processing executes in local browser RAM, your proprietary algorithms, trade secrets, and source files remain exclusively yours.
3. Responsible AI Context Usage & Secrets Disclaimer
While RepoBox incorporates automated client-side filters to detect and uncheck sensitive credentials (.env, private keys, authentication tokens), you remain ultimately responsible for inspecting the generated prompt before pasting it into third-party Large Language Model providers (such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Cursor). RepoBox is not liable for data pasted by users into external AI chats.
4. GitHub API Fair-Use & Third-Party Services
When using RepoBox to fetch public or private GitHub repositories, your browser interacts directly with GitHub's public API. You agree to adhere to GitHub's Acceptable Use Policies and rate limit guidelines. Providing a Personal Access Token (PAT) is optional and handled exclusively within transient client memory.
5. Third-Party Trademarks & Independence
"GitHub", "Claude", "ChatGPT", "Gemini", "Cursor", "DeepSeek", "Ollama", "Repomix", and "GitIngest" are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. RepoBox is an independent developer utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, GitHub, or Microsoft.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
RepoBox is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. In no event shall RepoBox or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the tool.

We may update these terms periodically to reflect new features or architectural improvements. Continued use of RepoBox following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
